Williams confident about Champions League fate

The Reds, who missed out a top four place last season, have had to be content with the Europa League this term, where we are currently on course to reach the quarter-finals of the competition.

However, if we avoid defeat at top four rivals Leicester City on Sunday, Champions League football will return to Old Trafford once again.

After battling back to a 1-1 draw with the Hammers, which elevated the Reds up to third in the Premier League table, Williams insists the Reds will be nerveless when we come up against the Foxes at the King Power Stadium.

“Of course we wanted the victory [against West Ham], but we got a result that’s put us in the position we wanted to be in, inside the top four,” our left back told MUTV.

“We’ve got to go there now [to Leicester] with full confidence that we’ll win, because we’re the biggest club in the world and we need to be playing where this club needs to be playing which is the Champions League.”
