It’s a sight we’ve become accustomed to seeing this season, but certainly not one we’re getting tired of. The 18-year-old’s effort at Brighton was one of his finest yet, and set us on the way to arguably our most impressive Premier League win of the campaign so far.

Reminiscent of Rooney and Ronaldo in their pomp, the way the Reds covered the whole of the Amex pitch – courtesy of Maguire’s clearing header, Matic’s swivel and laser-guided pass and Greenwood’s jet-heeled pace – within 10 seconds, before Fernandes volleyed in at the back stick, was truly breathtaking.
