The Sheffield-born forward, who was Sir Matt Busby’s first signing after the Munich Air Disaster in 1958, passed away at the age of 87 earlier this month.
Quixall spent six seasons at United and helped the club to win the FA Cup in 1963. A gifted and popular striker, he made 184 appearances and scored 56 goals.
Albert’s sad passing was announced last Thursday and a tribute will be paid at Old Trafford this weekend, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s players set to wear black armbands against the Baggies.
Saturday’s edition of United Review, the official matchday programme, will also honour Quixall’s Reds career, which ended with a transfer to Oldham Athletic in 1964.
