This week at Manchester United

THURSDAY

We celebrate one of the true legends of our club as Edwin van der Sar turns 50. The goalkeeper played 266 times for the Reds between 2005 and 2011. He won the Champions League, Club World Cup and two League Cups, as well as three straight Premier League titles between 2007 and 2009, before adding a fourth following his last appearance in 2011. No doubt we’ll be showing that penalty save in Moscow again and enjoying it once more. Happy birthday, Edwin!

FRIDAY

United’s youngsters resume the 2019/20 FA Youth Cup campaign with a mouthwatering semi-final against our counterparts from Chelsea. The match at St. George’s Park starts at 19:45 GMT and we’re wishing Neil Ryan and his team the very best of luck.

The Reds have won the tournament more times than any club with 10 triumphs, including that famous one in 1992, when club legends Gary Neville, David Beckham and Ryan Giggs were part of the team. When we won it in 2011, Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard were in the side that beat Harry Maguire’s Sheffield United in the final.

Also, Ole will speak to the media ahead of the weekend’s Premier League clash with Arsenal. You can watch his press conference on ManUtd.com and in the official app in the morning.
