The Reds have made real progress under Erik ten Hag, winning the Carabao Cup at Wembley and continuing to compete in the Emirates FA Cup and Europa League.
We currently sit third in the Premier League, and remain on course for a Champions League spot, with a seven-point lead over fifth-placed Liverpool. However, the heavy defeat at Anfield was a devastating blow for all connected with the club and the only way to react is by getting back to winning ways in Thursday’s European tie with Real Betis at Old Trafford.
With so much still to play for, Rashford is adamant that the mauling on Merseyside will not be how 2022/23 is remembered from a United perspective.
I wish we could play a game today to try and put things right. The result is the result, and we can’t see past that! We must not let it define our season. We have to trust the process and stick together.
