Erik could provide an update on another important Red when he sits down in front of the media tomorrow. Casemiro departed the pitch 53 minutes into Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Fulham, after suffering a clash of heads with the Cottagers’ midfielder Harrison Reed.
Ten Hag revealed the 32-year-old would be assessed ahead of the meeting with Forest, a team he scored against in August, at Old Trafford.
“I actually don’t know [the issue] but he had to come off. He had to come off so we have to speak with the doctor, and the medical team, to see how he’s doing,” said the boss on Saturday.
“He couldn’t continue the game. We have all seen that. We had to take him off and, hopefully, he’s better by tomorrow.”
