David De Gea nominated twice for Premier League Save of the Month February 2023

Having been kept on level terms with those saves, United went on to open the scoring before half-time through Marcus Rashford, and took control of the contest from there, going on to register a 3-0 victory, with Rashford netting again after the break, prior to Jadon Sancho wrapping up the scoring.

It’s the fourth time David has been nominated for the award – which was introduced at the start of this season – but he is yet to pick up the prize.

This month’s other saves up for the award were made by Aaron Ramsdale (ARSENAL v Aston Villa), Alisson Becker (LIVERPOOL v Newcastle), Jordan Pickford (EVERTON v Aston Villa) and Kepa Arrizabalaga (CHELSEA v Fulham).

News of David’s nominations come off the back of the announcements stating that Rashford is up for the league’s Player of the Month award for February, and that Erik ten Hag is on the Manager of the Month shortlist.
