Bruno Fernandes’s away goals run and more pre-match stats for Palace v Man Utd

BRUNO TO JOIN EXALTED COMPANY?

Bruno Fernandes has scored five goals in his last four Premier League away games, with his brace at Brighton & Hove Albion sandwiched between efforts against Everton, Tottenham and Aston Villa. If he nets at Selhurst Park, he’ll be the first United player to score in five straight away games in the competition since Zlatan Ibrahimovic in January 2017, and the fourth to do so overall for the Reds, after Dutch strikers Ruud van Nistelrooy (twice) and Robin van Persie.

GOOD OMENS

United are unbeaten in our last 11 away league games against Crystal Palace (winning eight and drawing three), since a 0-3 loss in May 1991. More recently, the Reds have gone five Premier League away games unbeaten since losing to Liverpool at Anfield in January. We’ve won each of the last two, against Brighton and Aston Villa, by a 3-0 scoreline – we’d only recorded a three-goal winning margin in two of 52 away league games prior to that.
