Varane and Eriksen feature as France beat Denmark in 2022 World Cup Group D

It was Hernandez who was involved once again to break the deadlock, playing a lovely one-two with Mbappe before the latter’s instinctive finish flew past the Danish keeper to give France the lead. 

Much to the dismay of their travelling fans, however, their joy was short lived. 

Denmark were quick to try and get back into the game, and an Eriksen corner provided the perfect route. Our no.14 whipped a ball in, which was nodded into the path of Christensen whose headed finish rattled the back of the net in emphatic fashion.
