Support for Man Utd forward Anthony Elanga after UEFA’s racism decision

In the statement, Tobias Tibell, chief lawyer of the Swedish Football Federation, said they have Elanga’s back and will not rest on the matter.

“The Swedish Football Federation is handling this situation with the utmost seriousness,” Tibell said.

“It’s good and important that both our personnel and the player himself acted and told the match officials about what had happened. We think it’s disappointing that UEFA now have chosen not to take this further to their disciplinary committee. However, there is no doubt of what the player has heard and we will appeal the decision.”

Manchester United are also disappointed with UEFA’s decision and will give our full support to Anthony in this matter.
