Solskjaer discusses United’s summer transfer plans after Sevilla disappointment

The boss sat down in front of journalists after our 2-1 defeat to Sevilla in the UEFA Europa League semi-final at Stadion Koln, where the Reds controlled the game but unfortunately suffered a 2-1 defeat.

United registered 20 shots at goals during the 90 minutes and were particularly dominant at the start of the second half, but could not find an all-important second goal to secure our progress to the final.

Losing is a huge disappointment, of course, but the team’s progress has been clear to see this season and Solskjaer is confident about taking further steps forward with this young group in 2020/21.

A huge part of that improvement will come from hard work with the players at the Aon Training Complex, where our coaching staff achieved fantastic results throughout the campaign.

The transfer window also provides an opportunity to strengthen the squad if the right players are available.
