Ole reveals team news for Man Utd v West Ham final home league game

Centre-backs Eric Bailly and Harry Maguire clashed heads during the 3-1 reverse to Chelsea at Wembley, with the Ivorian taken off on a stretcher while the skipper played on, initially with a headband.

It was the second successive match where Maguire needed treatment after an aerial challenge but Ole said: “He was in yesterday [Monday] and should be fine.”

Bailly is still being assessed after returning to the side in a back-three on Sunday. Fellow defenders Luke Shaw, Axel Tuanzebe and Phil Jones have been on the sidelines.

“Of course, he was shaken up a bit,” explained the manager. “He had a big blow to his head. We’re still monitoring him.

“He stayed down in London after the game. I’ve not seen him this morning yet because these interviews are before the boys meet up.

“I’ll see him soon and, hopefully, he’ll be alright.”
