FORM GUIDE

The Reds will be hoping to improve on our inconsistent form, which has seen an even split of wins and losses from our last six in all competitions. United beat Burnley 6-0 last time out in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup, with the goals coming from Millie Turner, Ella Toone, Lucy Staniforth, Amy Turner and Kirsty Hansen (2). However, last time out in the league we were beaten 1-0 by Brighton & Hove Albion.

Spurs were also in cup action last weekend, running out 3-2 winners in a thrilling encounter with Reading, which was settled in extra time. Their league form, however, is less desirable, with just two points registered from the last eight league games.

HEAD-TO-HEAD RECORD

United have enjoyed our meetings with Spurs over the last few years and have actually won all five previous encounters with the north London side. Tottenham were our closest challengers for the Championship crown in 2018/19, with Spurs going up in second, one spot behind Stoney’s women. We also won both of our meetings that season – 4-1 and 5-1 respectively – before the Reds earned 3-0 victories home and away last season. Earlier this term, Millie Turner was on target as United achieved a fifth straight victory over Tottenham.
