Man Utd’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Ona Batlle named in PFA Teams of the Year

Batlle may have passed that baton to Ella Toone and Alessia Russo this term, as the winners of our fan-voted and player-voted awards respectively for 2021/22. But the Spaniard continued to impress her colleagues and opponents while helping United to finish fourth in the WSL and push rivals Manchester City all the way to the final day in the race for a Women’s Champions League place.

Sam Kerr, who scored twice against the Reds in the last game for title-winners Chelsea, was named PFA Players’ Player of the Year.

The WSL Team of the Year is: Berger; Batlle, Bright, Williamson, Greenwood; Reiten, Weir, Little; Miedema, Kerr, Hemp.

Congratulations to Cristiano and Ona on being picked for the all-star line-ups by their peers.
