WHO IS THE REFEREE?

Paul Tierney will be the man in the middle at Old Trafford, taking charge of his sixth United match this season (the Reds have won two, drawn two and lost one). Ian Hussin and Darren Cann will be Tierney’s assistants on Wednesday, while Mike Dean is set to be the fourth official. Meanwhile, in Stockley Park, Peter Bankes and Peter Kirkupwill will oversee things from a VAR perspective.

DRESSING ROOM VIEWS

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: “We’ve been great in the last few months, giving ourselves a chance going into the last two games. We always said that if we can get into the Leicester game needing to beat them, that would be a great achievement and we might be able to even go one step further than that if we get a good result against West Ham.”

Nemanja Matic: “We wanted to get to the final and Chelsea scored three goals, they used their chances and deserved to be in the final, so our focus now is on Wednesday night against West Ham. We have to win that game. From this moment, we will focus on that and we’ve already spoke a little bit in the changing room about that. In three days we have another challenge and we have to recover as soon as possible.”

Bruno Fernandes: “We were not the best before and we are not the worst now. We are really sad about the result and losing the chance to win the FA Cup, something we had hoped for. Now it is time to gather forces and fight for our goal in the Premier League.”
