Portugal, featuring Diogo Dalot and Bruno Fernandes, qualified with 10 wins out of 10 and so were one of the seeded sides.
They head up a Group F also featuring Altay Bayindir’s Turkey, plus Czech Republic and the winner of play-off path C – either Georgia, Greece, Kazakhstan or Luxembourg.
Meanwhile, Scott McTominay could play in the tournament’s opening game, as Scotland have been drawn to play the hosts in Group A.
Steve Clarke’s men will come up against the three-time winners for the curtain-raiser at the Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena on 14 June.
Scotland have never qualified from the group stage of a major tournament but will fancy their chances with Hungary and Switzerland the other teams they’ll face.
Tyrell Malacia, who is set to return in the new year, will hope to be back and involved as the Netherlands take on France, Austria and the winner of play-off path A, in Group D.
