Kobbie Mainoo wins Man Utd Man of the Match award after performance in Everton game at Goodison Park

Kobbie Mainoo was handed his first competitive start in the Reds’ senior team and he repaid Erik ten Hag’s faith with a dynamic and composed performance.

Displaying calmness and quality in abundance, Kobbie controlled the midfield and was involved at both ends of the pitch.

With the scoreline at 1-0 in the first half, Everton looked certain to level the score when the ball bobbled through past Andre Onana and Harry Maguire, but Mainoo got back and hooked the ball clear off the line.
