Three points against Reading will see us retain our current standing, second, or even move up to top spot depending on results elsewhere – as of right now, the Reds have the best goal difference of the top three with 24, one ahead of first-placed Chelsea.
Chambers will be hoping to guide the Royals closer to WSL survival with three points against United. It has been a difficult opening half of the season for Reading, who have managed just two wins in 11 games so far – losing eight and drawing one.
Victories over Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur see them sitting in 10th currently, with a win good enough to take them as high as eight depending on what Spurs and Liverpool achieve over the weekend.
Reading have shown that they are capable of going toe-to-toe with sides in the top half of the table, though, coming agonisingly close to taking points from both Chelsea and Everton, losing 3-2 on both occasions. This is something Skinner will be aware of heading into this fixture.
