How Paddy Crerand is getting on in lockdown

Like the rest of us, Paddy is missing the experience of going to the match, although he’s been watching re-runs of Old Firm derbies to help replace the void of live football.

While our former midfielder admits the coronavirus pandemic has encouraged people to be kinder to each other, he’s looking forward to getting back to Old Trafford and reigniting some healthy debate.

“The amazing thing is Celtic and Rangers matches have been on every night, practically, on Sky television. So I watch that. It’s going back down through the years.

“What you miss is going to the game and the fun you have with old players, fans, everybody. There’s always great camaraderie – I’m sure it happens at every football club, not just United. But hopefully we can stand beside each other sooner rather than later.
