Erik ten Hag wants to see more of the same from Antony after performance at Chelsea | April 2024

The winger was awarded his first league start of the calendar year on Thursday, off the back of a series of impactful cameos from the bench, including coming on to score a crucial equaliser in the recent Emirates FA Cup win over Liverpool.

Playing on the right flank, Antony caused problems for the left side of the Chelsea defence throughout the contest and responded well to giving away a first-half penalty, by going on to provide a brilliant assist for Alejandro Garnacho’s second goal, after half-time.

Although the Blues’ two stoppage-time goals meant a 4-3 defeat for the Reds in the end, Antony’s display on the night was a positive to take away, as United prepare to host Liverpool in the Premier League this weekend.
