Early team news for Man Utd v West Ham in the Premier League

Eric Bailly was taken off on a stretcher during Sunday’s Emirates FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea, following an aerial collision with team-mate Harry Maguire. The Ivorian was quickly taken to hospital and, speaking afterwards, Solskjaer revealed his player had a cut on the back of his head that required attention.

Luke Shaw also missed the match at Wembley Stadium, with an ankle injury, and it remains to be seen if the left-back will be fit enough to feature against the Hammers. He is currently on a list of absentees that includes fellow defenders Axel Tuanzebe and Phil Jones.

Thankfully, Solskjaer said Maguire is fine after suffering a cut above the eye during his collision with Bailly. The club captain finished the first half with heavy strapping around his forehead, but played the second period without it, and Harry will hope to make his 37th league appearance of the season, maintaining his ever-present record.

Brandon Williams also completed the match in London and that is a major boost following the nasty cut to the head that he sustained against Southampton at Old Trafford last week. Our tough-tackling Academy graduate sported a black eye on Sunday, but was otherwise fit and hopefully emerged unscathed at Wembley.
