Donny van de Beek’s praise for milestone Mata

Our Dutch summer signing was in fine form at the Amex Stadium as he set up Mata for his landmark goal with a delightful back-heeled pass. It was van de Beek’s first assist in a red shirt, adding to his debut goal against Crystal Palace. 

“It was a good ball form Fred to me, it was a strong pass,” Donny told MUTV afterwards as he recalled the move.

“I take the one touch to Juan because I already saw that he was making a movement. I think it was a great finish and a great goal from us.“
