Diogo Dalot discusses World Cup 2022 and his tournament memories

Growing up in Portugal, Dalot is no stranger to players that have become World Cup icons in his home nation either. 

The United man is confident that his country has what it takes to create more history this time around, using the inspiration garnered from those that have worn the shirt at the tournament in the past.

“When you think about Portuguese legends that play for the national team, you have a lot of players. You remember Eusebio, you remember [Luis] Figo, Cristiano [Ronaldo]. 

“A lot of players that represented our country and represented it well, but I think we have an opportunity now in this World Cup to fight to do something good. We have the quality for that.”
