Antony’s goal against Real Betis attracted 23 per cent of the vote, with Marcus Rashford’s strike in the return leg finishing as a close second (22 per cent).

Alejandro Garnacho’s match-winner against West Ham in the FA Cup was hot on the heels of both of the aforementioned efforts, with 21 per cent of voters backing the young forward.

Two other shortlisted attempts got double-figure percentages too, as Rashford’s other nomination on the list – his opener in the first leg against Betis – and Marcel Sabitzer’s clever flick against Fulham in the FA Cup gained 12 per cent apiece.
