Casemiro explains desire to win tackles after he was voted Man of the Match for Man Utd in Carabao Cup final win over Newcastle United

Casemiro accepts there is still work to do for United to catch Arsenal and Manchester City, the two teams above us in the Premier League table, but with Emirates FA Cup and Europa League dates to come, there is hope that the Carabao Cup may not be the only trophy in the cabinet come the end of the campaign.

“We’re growing and gaining respect in this country,” he added. “But it’s early days and we have to keep improving. We can’t hide there are teams ahead of us like Manchester City and Arsenal.

“We have to deal with this reality, but we’re understanding our manager’s philosophy and we will keep growing. My history has always been about winning since I was a kid, so here it isn’t any different. I’m here to help my team-mates and Manchester United.”
