Cristiano Ronaldo wins Man Utd Goal of the Season 2021 22

With the effort topping our poll, the Portuguese has now won our official award an outright record four times since it was first introduced in 2005/06.

Ronaldo was previously tied with his former team-mate Wayne Rooney on three triumphs, having completed a hat-trick of wins during his first spell at the club.

The forward had been the first-ever winner of the accolade, for another long-range strike in England’s top flight, away to Portsmouth.

After Paul Scholes’s memorable volley at Aston Villa claimed the award in the following season, Ronaldo then regained the crown in the final two campaigns of his first United stint.

In 2007/08, Portsmouth were again his victims, as our no.7’s Old Trafford free-kick against the south-coast club won the award before his long-range strike away to Porto in the Champions League ensured he repeated the feat 12 months later.
