John O’Shea on the importance of the FA Youth Cup to Man Utd

O’Shea attended March’s semi-final, when our Under-18s beat Wolves 3-0 at the Theatre of Dreams and he’s looking forward to another great Old Trafford night, as the Youth Cup attendance record of 38,137 is expected to be shattered next week.

Of course, football at this age is all about learning and building towards a career in the game, but John would love to see the potential United players of tomorrow lift the trophy for a record-extending 11th time, under lead coach Travis Binnion.

“I was at the game against Wolves and the youth team put in an amazing performance and it was quite comfortable, but they’ll be up for it against a tough Nottingham Forest team that had a great result against Chelsea,” he added.
