The boss confirmed to reporters that the Brazilian will be coming in to compete for a position down the right-hand side of the attack. 

Ten Hag is keen to spark competition for places to help the players push each other, and Antony’s imminent move, although not yet finalised, will help to do just that. 

“It’s good in the first place that there is competition,” he explained in the pre-Leicester press conference, after replying to a question asking if Antony would play on the right wing by saying: “If it happens, yes.”
