TOTTENHAM’S TEAM NEWS

There is no Harry Kane any more for Spurs, following the star striker’s sale to Bayern Munich, but several new faces played in the opening 2-2 draw at Brentford, namely keeper Guglielmo Vicario, full-back Destiny Udogie, central defender Micky van de Ven and playmaker James Maddison, who assisted both Tottenham goals.

The big question mark was over Cristian Romero, who opened the scoring but sustained a head injury, but the defender is set to play.

“Cristian is good to go,” confirmed boss Ange Postecoglou. “Obviously, he’s been in the hands of the medical team going through all the protocols. He’s ticked all the boxes and felt fine all week. Aside from that, no change from last week.”

Tanguy Ndombele may be available but Ryan Sessegnon, Rodrigo Bentancur and Bryan Gil are all sidelined.
