Interim manager Ralf Rangnick had admitted on Friday that he feared the France international would be out for around a month with a calf problem sustained during the early stages of the midweek defeat to Liverpool.
Consequently, it was felt he might not be fit again until after the final day of the Premier League season, when the Reds are due to play at Crystal Palace.
Absolutely gutted to not be able to help the team in today’s game. I will work even harder to come back stronger and hopefully before the end of the season. It’s not over 💪🏾 Thank you all for your support, United we would stand! pic.twitter.com/ExmduyutD5
