Although our no.39 was not among the goals at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in United’s convincing win, McTominay’s performance did impress Ole, as he explained to reporters in his post-match press conference.
“He was Man of the Match. By a mile,” the boss said about the 24-year-old.
“That’s the Scott we’ve seen many times before, you know. He’s had his injuries, he’s had an operation this season but today I thought he was absolutely brilliant. He won his tackles, drove forward, kept the ball simple, switched play, headed away a few set-plays, so [he was] absolutely top.”
