HEAD TO HEAD
These two sides are familiar foes by this point. Since Wolves’ promotion back into the Premier League in 2018, fixtures have been ever-so regular with four meetings in 2020 and three in 2019. Both clubs have knocked the other out of the FA Cup, while in the league, it’s one win apiece from five games, with the last meeting in the league at Molineux ending 1-1.
Looking back further into the past, United have the rub of things, winning 50 of 106 games.
THE MANAGER
A former player like Ole, Nuno began his management career in his home country, Portugal, taking Rio Ave to two domestic cup finals and Europa League qualification. It’s been a similar story in England, where he arrived after spells with Valencia and Porto. Brought in by new owners to take Wolves up into the Premier League, Nuno did exactly that, at his first try, winning the Championship title. He’s taken them to an FA Cup semi-final and Europa League quarter-final since.
