The match, to be played on 12 July at Ullevaal Stadium, Oslo, will be the first time the two English sides have played each other in Norway.
Fresh from their summer break, it will also provide the first opportunity for the Manchester United squad to gain valuable match fitness, as they prepare to travel on a four-match tour of the US later in July.
The game marks a return to the Ullevaal Stadium for United, having previously played pre-season friendlies there in 2017 and 2019 against local sides Valerenga, and Kristiansund, and in 2022 against Atletico Madrid.
