Katie Zelem reacts to attendance at Man Utd v Man City

We fell to a 3-1 defeat against Manchester City at Old Trafford, with Zelem scoring the only goal; a penalty in the first-half. 

Reflecting on the result, the midfielder recognises that the Reds need to harness the effort made by the fans and take that into future games at Old Trafford and Leigh Sports Village.

“I think the attendance is certainly a positive,” she said. “We could hear them; loud.

“Especially towards the end of the game, they were cheering us on and for us that’s something that we need to focus on; building the attendances at Leigh and building here.”
