Galton ‘relieved’ to score winner against Brighton

The final stages of the game were nervy for Skinner’s side, as Brighton pushed for an equaliser.

But Galton had confidence that as soon as she put United Women ahead, her teammates were going to see out the three points.

She said: “I have full faith in the team. Once we went a goal up, I felt like we were going to win the game.

“That’s what we did today, and that’s all we’ve got to do [between now and the end of the season].”
