Every word from Erik ten Hag press conference | Man Utd v Wolves

It’s unusual that a team gets rid of their manager a week before the season starts. What kind of issue does that give you?
“Some uncertainty you don’t know. But it is up to them and we have to look at our own. We prepare for the game. If [a manager] doesn’t change that makes it also easy. I never look to an opponent. I respect them, we analyse them, but it’s always how we play against the opponent.”

Rasmus is unavailable and Tom Heaton, the club has done an update on him. Have you got any update on players that got injured in pre-season? I’m thinking Henderson, Martial, Mainoo, Amad, Malacia…
“Some issues you don’t mention, are from last season, like Malacia. He came into the season with an issue. We had 30 players on the tour and I think we are really fit. Disappointment, Amad. Disappointment, Kobbie, absolutely. But that is what happens when you go to the limits in top sport and top football. Injuries are not avoidable. But we have a strong squad and we can pick a strong team and I think that has shown in the last two games from the weekend against Lens, the number two of France last season, and against Athletic [Club] Bilbao on Sunday. We played two teams and two strong sides. We can tell we have more than 11 starting players.”
