The Denmark international failed to shake off a knock sustained at the start of the second half, when he was scythed down by Reading forward Andy Carroll.
Eriksen was replaced by fellow midfielder Fred who came on to score our third goal in the match, in the 57th minute. Carroll was later dismissed for two bookable offences.
United next face Nottingham Forest in the second leg of our Carabao Cup semi-final, at Old Trafford on Wednesday, and Erik will of course hope to have Eriksen available.
The manager may issue a further update on the fitness of our no.14 before that fixture.
