Early team news for Nottingham Forest v United



Manager Steve Cooper will definitely be without Dean Henderson – the keeper was not permitted to play as part of his loan move from United and has also picked up a thigh injury.

New striker Chris Wood, signed on loan from Newcastle United, is cup-tied having already played for the Magpies in the competition. Another of Forest’s latest arrivals, Danilo, is available but Ryan Yates was withdrawn at Bournemouth last time out due to illness.

Taiwo Awoniyi has joined Omar Richards, Moussa Niakhate, Giulian Biancone and Cheikhou Kouyate on the sidelines, although a fresh update is anticipated on the injury list at the club.

Jesse Lingard has returned to fitness, after being substituted in our league at game at Old Trafford on 27 December, and was on the bench at the weekend. 

Loic Mbe Soh signed for Guingamp on loan on Monday.
