Early team news for Crystal Palace v Man United | 18 January 2023

Manager Patrick Vieira felt his side did not get the rub of the green in a narrow 1-0 defeat at Chelsea on Sunday, a result that means they have only one win in five outings since the World Cup.

Influential defender Joachim Andersen was withdrawn at Stamford Bridge, reportedly with a calf issue, and may be a doubt for our Selhurst Park clash. Nathan Ferguson and James McArthur look to be definitely ruled out.

“At the moment, it is true that we lost a bit of confidence,” admitted Vieira, a fearsome opponent in his Arsenal days. “We don’t take our chances and have to keep working on that side.

“When you don’t win games, you lose confidence but, on the other side, you tell the players to look at the performances and the performance today was positive.”

There were three changes for the all-London affair, with Tyrick Mitchell, Jeffrey Schlupp and Ebere Eze coming into the XI. Teenager David Ozoh was among the substitutes.
