Of the two goals Dwight scored against Liverpool in that famous 1998/99 season, the most memorable was his equaliser in the eventual 2-1 win in the FA Cup fourth round, which led to some incredible scenes at Old Trafford.
“I remember the celebrations and it was just manic,” the forward recalled.
“I’ve never heard the stadium that loud, and I’ve had many fantastic nights at Old Trafford, but the atmosphere that particular day was incredible.
“We were all over them, but somehow couldn’t get the ball in the net, until the dying minutes when I scored the equaliser. Then Ole stepped up and scored the vital goal that saw us through, which of course snow-balled us into winning the Treble.
“The celebrations were just unbelievable and you could feel the energy from the crowd – I don’t think I’ve ever felt anything like it before.”
