HOW DID OUR OTHER PLAYERS GET ON?

Wednesday was a busy evening for United players at international level, with three further Reds, after Ronaldo and Fernades, also seeing action.

Victor Lindelof captained Sweden to a 2-0 success over Greece in Group B.

Scott McTominay’s Scotland beat the Faroe Islands away, with a late goal from Lyndon Dykes, to maintain second position in Group F.

Luke Shaw played the entirety of England’s 1-1 draw with Hungary, but conceded a penalty to enable the visitors to take the lead at Wembley. The Three Lions remain three points clear at the top of Group I, however.

Jadon Sancho (England) and Diogo Dalot (Portugal) were unused substitutes.
