Cristiano Ronaldo reflects on Man Utd squad surprising Foundation children

Jordanna Roberts, the primary schools manager at Manchester United Foundation, told us the experience will stay with the children forever. 

“We were lucky enough to invite some pupils from our partner primary schools, and schools that we work with in areas of high deprivation, so to be able to give them this opportunity is just unbelievable,” said Jordanna.  

“We are all in a bit of shock, to be honest, because the whole of the first team managed to come up and meet all of the children, and they were absolutely beside themselves. They are going to remember that for the rest of their lives. It was just unbelievable. 

“They don’t get those kinds of opportunities. A lot of them don’t leave the areas that they live in, so to be able to see somebody who they idolise on the telly every week is just amazing.”
