Fifteen minutes later, McNeill doubled United’s advantage after Marc Jurado had done well to create the opening on the left. When the latter’s initial effort was blocked, McNeill was well placed to power home the follow-up.

As the second half began, Emeran’s trickery and pace continued to open doors for our young Reds, with his curling effort early on well saved by Chester’s ever-busy shot-stopper.

Shortly after, Jurado’s cross found the feet of McNeill inside the penalty area, who found enough time to turn and shoot, with his subsequent effort connecting with the top of the crossbar.
